Colossians 2:14

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.”

The Greek word for handwriting is cheirographon — a signed certificate of debt, written in the debtor's own hand. Not a feeling. A document. The verse says the written record that stood against you was cancelled and taken out of the way.
